La société nationale de chemin de fer du Congo (SNCC) entend mettre fin à la carence en produits manufacturés dans la province du Kasaï oriental. C’est le directeur de marketing et business à la direction générale de la SNCC Erick Kabongo Mulembayi qui l’a annoncé ce vendredi 29 janvier au gouverneur de province.

« Le Kasaï oriental est une province, qui, par la gare de Mweneditu est très importante dans le cadre des charges reçues, de nombre de wagons reçus. Elle participe effectivement à l’augmentation des recettes au niveau de la SNCC. Et nous avons appris qu’il y avait une surchauffe de manque des produits manufacturés ici. J’ai été dépêché d’urgence par l’honorable Fabien Mutomb qui est notre DG pour venir voir cette situation ici, voir les raisons, écouter les commerçants, les opérateurs économiques et trouver des solutions ensemble pour créer l’abondance dans la province(…)Nous sommes là pour pouvoir améliorer et accentuer la croissance et ne pas créer des désordres dans la rareté au niveau de la province du Kasaï oriental », a-t-il déclaré.

Pour Erick Kabongo, le Kasaï de l’Est une province pour laquelle « la SNCC accorde beaucoup plus d’importance ». C’est dans ce cadre que cette entreprise entend améliorer et moderniser aussi la qualité de trafic des opérateurs économiques comme c’est déjà le cas avec le trafic des passagers par le biais du train Diamant béton, qui desserte seulement Mweneditu et le Kasaï oriental. Il a indiqué que le souci de la direction générale de la SNCC est que « tout se passe correctement et que le peuple Kasaïen mange à sa faim, vive à sa faim et réponde facilement aux recommandations du président de la République ».

Le gouverneur Jean Maweja Muteba « est plus que SNCC. Il a été très content. Il nous a promis son aide. À chaque instant, à chaque moment, il est près à nous aider », a indiqué l’hôte de l’autorité provinciale.

« J’ai parlé avec l’autorité provinciale pour voir dans quelle mesure il peut nous aider à ressusciter le projet ferroutage de Lukalenge qui est notre gare routière. Et pour qu’elle soit opérationnelle, il faut que la route Mweneditu- Mbujimayi soit totalement exploitable. Mais pour le moment, c’est difficile de faire ça. Avec cette difficulté, la SNCC ne peut pas développer la gare routière de Lukalenge. Notre souci aussi, c’est que ce ferroutage peut faire en sorte que, nous puissions faire le ferroutage voyageur. Quand les clients viennent pour prendre place à bord de Diamant béton, il faut qu’au niveau de Mbujimayi, ils montent dans un bus », après avoir acheté le billet à Mbujimayi.

L’autorité provinciale « a pris ce projet à bras le corps », a-t-il confié. Jean Maweja Muteba a promis « de toucher les autorités tant nationales que provinciales pour que, ça soit fait », a-t-il ajouté.
