Le bilan officiel des affrontements qui ont eu lieu le mercredi 11 septembre à Kasansa dans le territoire de Tshilenge est finalement connu. Il est de cinq morts, plusieurs blessés et 86 cases incendiées. La gouverneure ad intérim de la province du Kasaï oriental a fait le déplacement du lieu ce vendredi 13 septembre. Jeannette Longa Musuamba est allée s’enquérir personnellement de la situation ayant prévalu dans cette partie de sa province. Sur place, elle a constaté avec regret les maisons rendues en cendre, les habitations abandonnées par leurs occupants qui ont trouvé refuge dans la brousse. L’autorité provinciale a calmé la tension qui existait entre les Bena Mutombo, les Bena Kabeya et les Bena Muadi, etc tous du groupement de Bena Kayembe, après avoir reçu des explications sur le déroulement de la scène.

« Je suis arrivée ici avec toute l’équipe derrière moi, c’est compte tenu de ce qui s’est passé à Kasansa. Vous avez vu comment on a brulé les maisons par les Bena Mutombo. Donc ils sont tous les Bena Kayembe entre eux. ils se sont battus à cause des enfants qui étaient partis au champ et rien que pour le champ, alors les enfants se sont battus, ils sont montés au village et bien ça continué. Ils ont brulé et aujourd’hui ils se retrouvent avec 86 maisons brulées. Il y a eu des morts, cinq morts. Il y a des malades. On ne pouvait pas laisser ça comme ça. C’est pourquoi nous sommes venus prodiguer des conseils, appeler les chefs coutumiers en question pour qu’ils puissent se mettre ensemble enfin qu’ils puissent arrêter les tueries » a déclaré Jeannette Longa Musuamba.

L’autorité provinciale a  aussi eu des echanges avec le père de la paroisse de Kasansa, le chef de la chefferie de Bakua Kalonji et presque tous les chefs des groupements à qui  elle a prodigué des conseils et promis de revenir. C’est d’ailleurs dans la paroisse de Kasansa que Longa Musuamba a réuni toutes les parties en conflit ainsi que les autorités coutumières. Chaque camp a expliqué la genèse des conflits avant que l’autorité provinciale joue au sapeur pompier.

Les conséquences de ces troubles sont sans équivoques. Les enfants ne vont pas à l’école, les cultivateurs (parents) ne savent pas accéder à leurs champs (pourtant activité principale de ce village), plusieurs familles vivent dans la brousse. Cette situation préoccupe au plus haut point le gouvernement provincial, a indiqué Jeannette Longa qui promet des sanctions à ceux qui entretiennent des conflits tribaux.

« Avec ce qui est arrivé, les femmes et leurs enfants sont en brousse. Chaque soir, ils se retrouvent au couvant de Kasansa aux cotés des pères pour pouvoir passer nuit … On les empêche même de ne pas envoyer les enfants à l’école. Comme message, je leur ai demandé de rester ensemble, qu’on arrête des tueries. Ce n’est pas normal en ce moment-ci  au moment où les enfants commencent à aller à l’école, c’est le moment où on les empêche. Les hommes qui doivent aller faire leurs champs, on les empêche d’aller dans leurs champs leur disant qu’ils ne sont d’ici, ils sont de l’autre coté. Là nous ne sommes pas d’accord. Le sol et le sous-sol appartiennent à l’Etat,  alors l’Etat va faire son travail » a promis J.Longa
