Au cours de sa conférence de presse de ce samedi 03 octobre, le comité provincial de riposte contre la Covid19 a fait savoir que tout le monde peut mourir de la Covid19.

 » Ce n’est pas le fait d’être asthmatique qu’on ne peut pas mourir de la Covid19″, a indiqué le docteur Nestor Bonheur Tshiteku, chef de division provinciale de la santé qui répondait à la question relative à la déclaration du président de l’assemblée provinciale, qui a soutenu dans son discours que le premier cas était un asthmatique.

 » Tout le monde peut contracter la maladie, mais tout le monde ne peut pas manifester des signes et être porteur sain », a ajouté le conseiller au ministère de la santé Célestin Kadima qui a ajouté le chef de division, étant donné que le président de l’assemblée provinciale a fait savoir qu’il n’y a de nouveau cas depuis le décès du premier.

C’est dans cette logique que le ministre provincial de la santé a demandé à la presse d’accompagner le comité provincial de riposte dans la sensibilisation de la population, à ne pas suivre les rumeurs, mais à respecter les gestes barrières.  » Tout le monde doit être sensibilisateur et la presse doit nous accompagner dans cette tâche », a-t-il souligné.

En rappel, lors de son discours d’ouverture de la session ordinaire de septembre le 30 septembre dernier, le speaker de l’organe délibérant avait déclaré que « le seul cas de mort confirmé à Mbujimayi de cette maladie laisse tout le monde perplexe dès lors que les résultats sont arrivés deux semaines après le décès de quelqu’un qui était un asthmatique chronique et surtout que les personnes avec qui il était en contact ne présentent aucun signe négatif jusqu’à ce jour ».

Cette déclaration a certes semblé donner libre cours à des spéculations de tous bords et faire croire à la population que la maladie n’existe pas à Mbujimayi. Mais la confirmation de deux autres cas dont l’un est un contact du premier, permet désormais à tout le monde d’avoir la certitude que l’ennemi est bien là. Le respect des gestes barrières est de rigueur pour l’éviter.
