Après une vive tension observée ce vendredi 07 février 2020, le calme est revenu à Limete devant le siège de l’Union pour la Démocratie et le Progrès Social (UDPS).

Les militants du parti présidentiel manifestaient pour dénoncer le sabotage dans la construction des travaux des sauts-de-mouton et la suspension des bourgmestres de l’UDPS. Ils exigent la fin de la coalition FCC-CACH.
Pour eux, le mariage FCC-CACH met des crocs en jambes au président de la République. Ils souhaitent aussi mettre fin à ce mariage.

A cette occasion, ils ont brûlé des pneus tout en bloquant la circulation sur le boulevard Lumumba à hauteur de la maison communale de Limete. Mais ils ont été dispersé par la police.

Un peu plus tard, dans la journée, des motocyclistes communément appelés « wewa », ont également protesté contre les mesures du ministre provincial des transports qui a annoncé l’octroi d’un document à 500 $ pour l’usage de la moto à des fins commerciales. Ces derniers envisagent de manifester lundi prochain devant le bâtiment de l’hôtel de ville contre cette décision.
