La recherche a porté sur l’usage du téléphone dans les couples à Mbujimayi et l’usage de l’espace personnel.
La récipiendaire est partie d’un constat selon lequel, les différents usages du téléphone portable dans les couples menacent la stabilité des foyers. Partant de la question: Comment les divers usages des téléphones dans le couple structurent-ils les relations dans les couples ?
Elle a postulé que les différents usages des téléphones dans les couples sont à la base des conflits entre conjoints. Cela est dû aux appels, messages, fichiers, vidéos, photos et autres que les époux partagent avec leurs correspondants.
Après une étude de terrain, menée grâce aux entretiens avec les époux et leurs épouses, la récipiendaire est arrivée à la conclusion selon laquelle, au lieu d’être un moyen qui renforce l’union entre conjoints dans les familles, le téléphone est aujourd’hui la cause de dislocations, des disputes et bien d’autres.
Comme propositions, la récipiendaire a demandé aux couples présents dans la salle du jury, d’éviter tout usage pouvant créer un climat de doute, un climat de méfiance entre conjoints.
